Once again the judges for Keep Berwickshire Tidy Awards reported that litter is still evident in many areas, particularly around the major roads. However the judges were impressed by the tidiness of the major towns and mentioned Coldstream, Eyemouth and Duns. This year the judges were looking for areas that had improved since the 2015 judging and were particularly impressed with Chirnside and Edrom, Allanton and Whitsome. It was therefore decided that the award would be as follows. Keep Berwickshire Tidy Award 2016: Edrom, Allanton and Whitsome. Highly Commended: Chirnside.
